Junior Associate

Norrbom Vinding offers the best training in labour and employment law in the market
You will work with one or more partners on a permanent basis. In close collaboration, you will assist clients within the partners' specialisms. In this way, you get to know every part of the legal process from the best professional capacities: from the initial meetings with the client until the project or case is finalised. During your work as a junior associate, we are responsive to the areas of labour and employment law in which you would like to develop your skills, and we therefore continuously agree which partners you will work with.
At our firm, you learn more than just the law: you get to know the clients, their industry and their corporate culture.
In other words, you learn to navigate easily through a sea of image, media, politics, employee climate and commercial realities that are all important pieces in solving the client’s problem in the best way possible.
We make sure that all junior associates are kept up to date through our in-house training programme and receive training in legal English. All partners at Norrbom Vinding share their knowledge and expertise at regular training sessions. We also conduct mock trials where we set up a real-life court case and practice all elements of a trial hearing.
You will of course participate in the mandatory training programme provided by the Danish Bar and Law Society. When your bar exam is approaching, you will be given time off to study, fully paid, and your colleagues will be available for consultation and good advice.
What do junior associates do?
From your very first day, you will be assigned challenging cases and projects. Even though you will have a great deal of independent responsibility for your assignments, we also work in teams – so you will have ample opportunity for discussions with more experienced associates and you will be consulted on strategic considerations in the cases and projects.
As a junior associate at Norrbom Vinding, you will typically:
- Be in charge of coordinating major cases and projects
- Participate in litigation, arbitration and legal investigations and inquiries
- Draft pleadings
- Prepare memos, bundles of authorities and trial bundles
- Have contact with clients
- Provide advice on an ad hoc basis
- Prepare training material and participate in different training courses
- Write news articles
As a junior associate at Norrbom Vinding, you quickly notice that there is room for both professional development and a sense of community. I started as a legal intern and am now a junior associate, and along the way I have been on a steep learning curve where I have constantly been challenged and supported. I joined Norrbom Vinding because I wanted to learn from the best in labour and employment law – and I have certainly had ample opportunity to do that.
There is a very special openness and helpfulness across the firm, which means that you can always bounce ideas off colleagues and partners – even informally over a cup of coffee.
At Norrbom Vinding, there is a strong social culture where you become part of the community from day one. This provides both security in your work and an environment where you want to develop and take responsibility.
I feel that I am challenged professionally every day – but always supported and able to shape my own development.
